I didn’t know you had ended the hike until i read all you entries. however i think its awesome that i even attempted this! When I found your page I showed both my parents how cool it was to know a guy so young attempting something so difficult. You earn my respect 100%! I hope that you are safe and sound at home in a warm bed im sure your journey( short as it may seem) taught you a lot and was a great adventure that you will be able to tell about for years to come! Who knows you may attempt it again later in life! However what you did accomplish is an achievement and it looked like you had fun, that’s all that really matters! Good luck in your future plans and may God bless you in all things to come your way!

Trey,
The hike is one thing; the journey quite another. You’ve been faithful to the journey. God reaffirmed truth in a most unforgetable manner. He has a reason for reaffirming that truth. One day you may understand why. For now, you end the thru-hike, but continue the journey w/God.

I wouldn’t be surprised to hear one day that you and a companion- maybe God’s choice for your life mate- hit the trail and make the full thru hike. . . but that’ll be another part of your journey with God!

Look forward to seeing you back in Dahlonega.
