Day 1 (19.8 miles)
Well this has been a long day!!!! We hike to the top of Karahdian as a family starting the hike at 5:00am. This was 5.2 up and 5.2 down. It was a long hike. Storm were moving in fast so last minute dad and I left the girls and ran and run he 2 miles to the top. So we could summit. I made it to the summit at 8:50am. Then after hiking down I took at 1.5 hour break. The started down the trail to do 13.5 more miles. I made it 9.5 miles. This means a as 4 mile behind plus I fill like a BIG truck hit me. I am in a lot of pain. I think this is going to be a long long week. Please pray for me!!!

No Cell Service
Just so no one feels like I died. We are in the town just out side the park and there is NO cell signal. Due to tis being the biggest town I will be in for the next few weeks there most likely well no be any service on the trail. Just giving you a heads up. I look forward to sending out updates when I get to a bigger town some where down the trail. It looks like the next big town will be Stratton, ME. I hope to be there on July 26 or 27th. Talk to you all the if not one day before.
Starting the long hike tomorrow about 5:00am.
